The impact of the recent Covid-19 outbreak has dramatically altered our lives and we all are in the face of this uncertain situation. I understand the closure of University College significantly affect your education but it is compulsory at this time for us to be confined to our homes and be safe. Despite these adverse conditions, I sincerely hope you and your family are not directly affected and also that you will be able continue your academic as usual as soon as possible.

Even though this will cause unpredictable distortions to the academic calendar, we should move forward. With the directions off the Vice Chancellor, we have taken steps to engage students in self-learning via educational technology tools such as online lectures, Google classroom and other e-learning methods. All the staff members of University College Ratmalana are keen to assist you to ensure that students can continue learning even in the face of a global health crises. All our academic staff are diligently preparing to minimize the damage on your academic progression. I understand that there is a vast difference in quality of technology that each of you have access to but I would emphasize the importance of being involved in academics as much as possible. We would discuss with the authorities on further developments and possible implementation to ease up the learning process on your side.
This is a challenging time for all of us as a nation to rely on our adaptability, patience and self-discipline. Please your Course Coordinators, Heads of Departments or any other Staff Member(s) if you are in need of any kind of support, academic or otherwise.
